Residential Trash Service
Gill's Freeport offers Stephenson County residents a choice of a 65-gallon or 95-gallon waste container, ideal for households with varying waste needs, including larger families. Each container includes a $25 delivery fee. For excess trash beyond the container limit, approved stickers must be used. If additional capacity is needed, residents may rent an extra 95-gallon container for $15 per quarter, plus a $25 delivery fee. Please note that additional 65-gallon containers are not available.

Recycling Service in Stephenson County
Residents may request a 65-gallon container to participate in Stephenson County’s recycling program. A $25 delivery fee applies. All recyclables must be placed loose in the container—plastic bags are not allowed. Cardboard should be broken down into 3 ft. x 3 ft. bundles if excessive. For those needing more space, an additional 95-gallon recycling container is available for $15 per quarter, plus a $25 delivery fee.
Bulky Items & White Goods Collection in Stephenson County
Bulky Items will be collected on your regularly scheduled collection day at no charge. Bulk items exceeding 50 pounds will require an additional fee. Contact us to schedule a collection.
Bulk items include: boxes, barrels, crates, furniture, and similar items that do not fit into a proper container and can be collected/lifted by one driver without assistance. Exceptions include items which are banned from direct disposal into a landfill (appliances, tires, car batteries, TV’s, electronic waste). No construction waste accepted.
Contact us to schedule a pick up in advance. Items should not be placed at the curb until the evening before the confirmed scheduled collection.
