Residential Trash Service
Gill's Freeport provides Winnebago County residents with a 95-gallon waste container, ideal for larger families or households that produce higher volumes of trash. Weekly collection takes place every Tuesday, and a $25 delivery fee applies to each container. Replacement or additional containers are available for $6 per quarter, plus an additional $25 delivery fee.

Recycling Service in Village of Winnebago County
Residents may request a 65-gallon container to participate in the community’s recycling program; a $25 delivery fee applies. Please note that recycling service is only available on route RT W-05. All recyclables must be placed loose in the container—plastic bags are not accepted. To ensure proper pickup, cardboard should be broken down into 3 ft. x 3 ft. bundles if excessive, and totes should not be overfilled.
Bulky Item Collection in Winnebago County
Bulky items will be collected on your regularly scheduled collection day at no charge. Bulk items exceeding 50 pounds will require an additional fee. Contact us to schedule a collection.
Bulk items include: boxes, barrels, crates, furniture, and similar items that do not fit into a proper container and can be collected/lifted by one driver without assistance. Exceptions include items which are banned from direct disposal into a landfill (appliances, tires, car batteries, TV’s, electronic waste). No construction waste accepted.
